  • Cannot find the number (#) on code card

    Cannot find the number (#) on code card

    If you use the correct code card, the number on the log on page is also on your code card. Verify that you use the correct code card.

    On your screen, you can see the number of the code card you should use.

    • On your code card, you can see that the numbers are identical. 
    • If you do not have the specific code card, it may be because we have sent you a new one.

    If it is the correct code card, look for the number again.

    • The numbers are sorted, and there are three pages with numbers.

    If you have lost your code card, or suspect unauthorised use, you must block it immediately to revoke it in order to prevent others from using it.

    To revoke your code card you log on with your NemID user ID and password. Revoke code card at nemid.nu.

    Order a new code card after you have revoked the lost one.
    When you order a new code card you must identify yourself using your Danish passport or driving licence. The code card will be sent by post. If you need it right away you can collect a new code card at citizen service centre (Borgerservice) . Remember to bring your ID.

  • Order new code cards

    Order new code cards

    You will automatically receive a new code card when a certain number of codes are left. You can decide yourself the number of codes to be left before you receive a new code card. 

    If you want new code cards, you order and manage them yourself at nemid.nu
    You can order a maximum of three code cards at a time, and you can hold a maximum of five valid code cards.
    At nemid.nu you manage your own code cards. You can see which code card is active, see the code cards you have ordered and change their status. 

    When you have used all codes on one code card, the next code card will be activated automatically if you only have one. If you have more code cards, you will be asked which one you want to use during logon. Thanks to the security number, you can always see which code card to use at log on.



    If you will be travelling for a longer period of time, or want extra code cards, you can order more code cards. You can personally pick up a new code card at Borgerservice. Remember to bring your ID.
