The benchmark system supporting the financial markets will undergo substantial changes in the coming years. In fact, the transition period has already begun with the introduction of the new risk free rate €STR back in October 2019, followed by SOFR and SONIA that will replace the known USD and GBP LIBORs. During 2021, both us as a bank and you, our customers, must be prepared for many important deadlines, possible system changes and getting our accounting systems ready for the new reference rates.
