Accessibility Statement for ATMs in Denmark
Our accessibility-related obligations
Danske Bank is under obligation to ensure that its digital services are accessible to all customers, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet recognised accessibility standards so that everyone can enjoy and benefit from using our platforms and websites.
Compliance with requirements
As part of our work to comply with the requirements of Danish Act no. 801 of 7 June 2022 and the European accessibility act, our goal is to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), version 2.1.
Accessibility status
Our ATMs do NOT have the following accessibility features:
Screen magnification (WCAG 1.4.4): The ATM must have a button for screen magnification built into the system and located at an easy-to-find place on the user interface. The magnification must be up to 30x. This is not possible on our existing ATMs.
Language (WCAG 3.1.1): The standard software dialogue is available in Danish and English. For text-to-speech (TTS) audio guidance, Danish is currently the only supported language. The plan is to provide English language TTS audio guidance at ATMs in the near future.
Emergency button (WCAG 3.3): ATMs should have an easily accessible (physical or digital) emergency button for users to request help in the event of problems.
Limitations and alternatives
While we strive to ensure that our ATMs are fully accessible, there may be certain limitations. If you find that a function is unavailable or difficult to use, our colleagues are ready to assist you.
