Card activation
Whether it's a card for a new account, a renewal or a replacement, when you receive your new card, you must activate it before you can use it in shops or online.

How to activate your new card
Visa/Dankort and Mastercard cards- Log on to Danske Mobile Banking
- Select 'Cards' on the top menu
- Tap the card you want to activate
- Select 'Activate your new card'
- Slide the toggle button ‘Activate’ to the right to activate the new card
Mastercard cards are automatically activated- the first time you pay with the chip and PIN when making a purchase in a shop
- the first time you withdraw cash from an ATM

How to activate your new card via eBanking
Visa/Dankort- Log on to Danske eBanking
- Click "Cards and currency" on the top menu of Danske eBanking and choose 'Card overview'
- Click the arrow next to the card you want to activate and select 'Activate card'
- We will then ask you to approve
- Your card is now active
Mastercard cards are automatically activated- the first time you pay with the chip and Pin when making a purchase ina shop
- the first time you withdraw cash from an ATM.
