Proof of identity and address
Why do you need to submit proof of identity and documentation of your address?
The Danish Act on Measures to Prevent Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism requires us to be able to document that we have seen photographic proof of identity and documentation of address for all customers. Even if you have been a customer at Danske Bank for years. The stipulations of the act also apply to children who have an account.
Preventing and fighting financial crime are two essential tasks that every responsible financial institution must perform.
That is why we at Danske Bank have both an obligation and a commitment to comply with Danish and international anti-money laundering legislation and regulations and to fight money laundering and fraud against banks and customers.
