That’s why a new welcome screen will prompt you to log in with MitID, choose a new 6-digit code, and decide whether to use fingerprint or facial recognition.

For instance, agreements and payments to others are now approved via MitID (today it’s a four digit code). The customers will also get even better control over which devices that have access to the mobile banking app
There are several reasons for this.
A very important reason is that we always focus on staying several steps ahead of the criminals trying to defraud our customers and us. Another important reason is the ongoing need to modernize our technical foundation and to make the solution easier to maintain and develop.
The PIN has stricter security validations on creation, and it is safer as a result of using 6 digits instead of only 4.

Yes, the existing solution met both legal and security requirements.
However, we are experiencing an increasing number of fraud attempts, and the fraudsters are becoming more skilled. Therefore, we naturally also need to enhance the security in the app.
