Order Mastercard Hverdag+

Both Mastercard Hverdag+ and Visa/Dankort are debit cards – in other words, they have no credit facility.

Mastercard Hverdag+
With Mastercard Hverdag+, your purchase is charged to your account immediately. This provides you with a real-time overview of your account balance. However, please note that payment will not be immediate if you use your card in an off-line terminal, typically on board planes and in parking facilities.

Unique security systems monitor your individual payments and ensure, among other things, that you get a fraud alert if you are about to pay in a webshop from which other customers have not received the goods or services they paid for.

You can use the card in Denmark and abroad and spend up to DKK 100,000 a day – provided that the funds are available in your account – and withdraw the equivalent of DKK 6,000 a day in cash from ATMs abroad.

You can also add travel insurance and enjoy a 25% discount on the Danske Bank Aviator Business Lounge in Copenhagen Airport.

Visa/Dankort card

With a Visa/Dankort card, all your purchases are charged to your account shortly after you have used the card – regardless of whether you use the card in Denmark or abroad.

Security systems monitor payments based on overall and general payment patterns.

When using the card abroad, in foreign webshops, and in stores in Denmark that only accept Visa, there is a spending limit of DKK 25,000 per rolling 30 days. With a Visa/Dankort card, you can withdraw the equivalent of DKK 2,000 a day in cash from ATMs abroad.

If you are registered for our customer programme and have the Danske Hverdag+ customer package, you can replace your Visa/Dankort card with a Mastercard Hverdag+ card and get access to its benefits free of charge. 

Your Visa/Dankort card will be closed automatically when you receive and activate your new Mastercard Hverdag+ card.

Danske Hverdag+ has two different ‘security systems’ that protect you against fraud.

One is called ‘Card security’, which is an automatic geographical control. Essentially, this means the card is only active on one continent at a time – where you are using it. You can also switch online shopping on and off via Danske Mobile Banking. Only Mastercard offers this type of security.

The other system monitors your payments, alerting and notifying you of any unusual transactions. These systems are being continually improved.

Using Danske Mobile Banking, you can:

• Block your card temporarily (and unblock it)
• Set a maximum for cash withdrawals (Danish)
• Choose whether the card can be used online (Danish)

Spending limit
The spending limit is the maximum amount you can spend on the card within a given period. The spending limit requires the money to be available in your account. So it is not the same as a credit facility. The spending limit on a Mastercard Hverdag+ card is DKK 100,000 a day.

Amount limit

The amount limit is an additional security feature that you can set via Danske Mobile Banking. This determines the maximum amount that you can withdraw from an ATM a day. For example, you can set an amount limit of DKK 5,000, which is lower than the DKK 15,000 maximum.

Spending and amount limits give you flexibility and control over your card spending.

You can submit a dispute if you see card transactions on your account that you do not recognise or accept. For example, if you have shopped online and have not received the goods or service you paid for, we may well be able to help you.

Before contacting us, however, you must try to solve the problem with the shop or website yourself. If you cannot find a solution within 2-4 weeks of the purchase date, you should quickly submit a dispute. 

If you suspect that your card has been used fraudulently, block it immediately and then submit a dispute.

Travel insurance is provided by Tryg Forsikring A/S, Klausdalsbrovej 601, DK-2750 Ballerup. Tryg Forsikring A/S is a member of the Danish Guarantee Fund for Non-life Insurers, which covers consumer insurance claims for customers residing in Denmark should the insurance company enter into bankruptcy.
