Setting up a custody account for Danske Gave
On this page you can order a new Danske Gave including both an account and a custody.
This means that you can choose whether the money should continue to earn interest or whether you want to invest.
You can also opt for a combination: Earning interest on part of the money by keeping them in the account and investing another part through the custody account.
The long time horizon makes it ideal for investing, and the donee may eventually receive an even greater amount than the amount initially donated.
What happens when you place the order?
Once you have placed an order, we will send you an agreement for you to sign. We will then automatically create the new Danske Gave and transfer the money from the old Danske Gave before closing it.
It may take up to 4 weeks for the new account to be available to you in Mobile Banking. You will recognise it by the new account number for your Danske Gave account and the addition of a custody account.
Note
- Do you want power of attorney?
You need to request it from your adviser. This also applies to existing powers of attorney, as they will no longer be valid. - Has the original creator of Danske Gave passed away?
Unfortunately, it is then not possible to attach a custody account to invest the money. The funds will therefore continue to accrue interest until the binding period ends, and you cannot order a new Danske Gave.
